| Ringneck Ranch hosts Youth Pheasant Hunt March
9, 2008, Ringneck Ranch, Tipton, KS. For several of the youths, it was their first opportunity to hunt, having only recently completed their hunter education class. The hunters were divided into 2 groups, with one group hunting in the morning and the other hunting in the afternoon. The set-up worked out perfectly as we were able to take the new hunters and spend time with them on the 5-stand range, familiarizing them with the guns they would be hunting with that afternoon and working on their shooting skills prior to going afield. We can't thank the folks at Ringneck Ranch enough for the fantastic opportunity they provided for these kids. Known as one of the premiere pheasant hunting destinations in Kansas, Ringneck Ranch showed all of those attending how they earned that reputation. The hunt was well managed for the kids, with everyone getting a shot at a bird. The weather couldn't have been better. And the lunch they served was finest kind.
