'08 Mitch Telinde
Memorial Youth Hunt

March 29, 2008, Garden City, KS.
Many thanks to Beavers Game Farm for hosting the 3rd Annual Mitch Telinde Memorial Youth Hunt on March 29th. 13 youth came from Dodge City, Garden City, Great Bend, Liberal and Wichita to spend the morning hunting pheasants with their mentors.

Tim Telinde's son Mitch passed away in an auto accident in January of '06. Shortly after that, a Big Brother and his Little were hunting with Tim's Tallgrass Outfitters. Tim later related that he didn't know how he would handle having a youth hunting with him so soon after losing his own son. But he found it to be a good experience and as he found out more about the Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors program, he felt that hosting a hunt in his son's memory, giving kids who might not get the chance to experience the outdoors that he and Mitch shared, would be one way for him to "Pass It On".
