Series
Pass
It On - Outdoor Mentors has announced the Outdoor Mentor Series,
a series of sculptures by noted wildlife artist John Parsons
which feature a mentor and child enjoying various outdoor
activities. The first sculpture in the series, “Who’s
Huntin’ Who” will be featured at Pheasants Forever,
Quail Forever and Whitetails Unlimited banquets across the
country beginning this fall.

Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors, Inc. was awarded $3,000 in a
grant from the Topeka-based Justin Corbet Memorial
Shooting Sports Foundation, Inc. These funds will
be used to recruit more mentors who will spend time outdoors
with a child. The Pass It On program is designed to help at-risk
children have the opportunity to experience the outdoors.

Youth Turkey Hunt with
Bell Wildlife Specialties
April
4-6, Harveyville, KS.
For
the 6th year in a row, Dan Bell and the great folks with Bell
Wildlife Specialties hosted young hunters with the Pass It
On - Outdoor Mentors program for a youth turkey hunt. We had
13 kids, many on their first turkey hunt, including one young
lady who participated in her first hunt ever!

Memorial Youth Hunt
March
29, 2008, Garden City, KS.
Many thanks to Beavers Game Farm for hosting the 3rd
Annual Mitch Telinde Memorial Youth Hunt on March
29th. 13 youth came from Dodge City, Garden City, Great Bend,
Liberal and Wichita to spend the morning hunting pheasants
with their mentors.

Ranch hosts Youth Pheasant Hunt

9, 2008, Ringneck Ranch, Tipton, KS.
Alan Waggonner and the great folks at Ringneck Ranch
hosted a youth pheasant hunt on March 9th for kids in the
Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors Program. 28 young hunters from
Concordia, Hutchinson, Kansas City and Wichita spent a great
day hunting pheasants with guides and mentors showing them
the way.

The
Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors program has had the pleasure
of having Wayne Hubbard, host of the Urban
American Outdoors TV show accompany us on a number of
our hunts over the past several years. Wayne has given Pass
It On permission to provide one of his shows on our website,
featuring scenes from different deer hunts we have participated
in over the years.
We've
got some great footage of some of the kids getting their first
deer. The video runs about 22 minutes, so make sure you have
