a Interested in finding out more about becoming an outdoor mentor? GREAT! The Pass It On - Outdoor Mentor program got its start from a Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters program. Because of our history with BBBS, we have an understanding of some of the important factors in a successful mentoring relationship. And we suggest that anyone wanting to mentor a child do so through their local Big Brothers Big Sisters agency. They have been involved in mentoring for over 100 years and have done an excellent job of keeping mentoring safe for both the child and the mentor. To find a BBBS agency near you, visit the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America website. There you can enter your zip code and they will point you in the right direction to begin becoming a mentor. When you contact your local BBBS agency, tell them that you want to become a Big Brother/Sister and that you would like to be matched with a Little that has an interest in the outdoors, one that you can spend time sharing your passion for the outdoors with as part of your match.
